  We have a Valour fireplace which stopped functioning last year. We did some research online and all the symptoms pointed at a malfunctioning pilot light. This year we hoped to fix the problem and called this company. My wife described on the phone the exact make of the fireplace and the problem etc.
  The service person came down to check the furnace and confirmed our “diagnosis”, but told us that he would have to check for parts before trying to fix it. He charged us $160 just for that one visit that lasted about 20 mins. The next day he informed us that they did not have parts available for our model.
  We feel that the company could have been more honest and transparent with us about the parts from the beginning as we were very clear about the issue we experienced and the older model of fireplace we had.
